The Glory of Shakespeare — June 2014

YpM-trio
Concordia Consort joined Youth pro Musica (Robert Barney, director) for The Glory of Shakespeare, YpM’s 2014 Spring Concert. The choristers sang works from Shakespeare’s texts and time by Morley, Purcell, Vaughan Williams, Willcocks and others. Concordia Consort played instrumental works by Byrd, Weelkes and Bevin plus a suite of toe-tapping Gervaise bransles. Together the two ensembles performed 20th-century works by Dyson and Stanford. Saturday, June 7 & 14 at Eliot Church, 474 Centre Street in Newton.

The performances were outstanding! These young singers filled Eliot Church with their beautiful voices. Bravo, YpM!
